Job Description

A leading, quick-growing non-bank lender is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its Melbourne based credit team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring high-quality credit decisions, maintaining solid risk standards, and supporting the business through accurate assessments, sound judgement, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:

n

- Conducting detailed credit assessments on allocated residential, commercial, SMSF and construction applications
n
- Providing clear recommendations to Delegated Lending Authority holders and/or exercising your own
n
- Identifying and escalating potential fraud risks
n
- Maintaining high-quality data standards and documentation
n
- Applying sound judgement to identify and manage operational and credit risk
n
- Ensuring adherence to credit policy, regulatory guidance and legal requirements
n
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders to support strong outcomes
n




- Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture

The ideal background:

n

n
- 2 - 4+ years' experience in lending or credit assessment, with exposure to one or more of residential, commercial, SMSF and/or construction lending
n
- Experience working in a manual credit assessment environment
n
- Ability to work autonomously with strong self-motivation
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine "can-do" attitude
n
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
n
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn on the fly, and perform under pressure
n
- Commitment to integrity, teamwork, fairness and continuous improvement
