Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Meat Manager to lead our meat department at our Leongatha location. This full-time role offers $75,000 - $85,000 per year (depending on experience) and requires a Qualified Butcher with proven department management experience.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage daily operations of the meat department to deliver excellent quality and service standards
n
- Achieve sales budgets, gross profits and wage control targets while controlling shrinkage
n
- Complete rostering that meets customer needs while maintaining department budgets
n
- Order stock, maintain correct pricing and ticketing, and handle department invoicing
n
- Conduct monthly stocktakes and maintain HACCP standards
n
- Coach and support team member development in a fast-paced environment
n
- Ensure all cleaning schedules and company policies are maintained
n

- Proven experience managing a meat department in supermarket or retail environment
n
- Track record in high volume sales environments
n
- Experience with rostering, invoicing, and clerical procedures
n
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and develop team members
n
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety requirements

- Positive attitude with initiative and team collaboration skills
