About the Role

Our cloud platform, Gentu, powers over 5,000 specialist practices across Australia, supporting more than 22,000 clinicians in their day-to-day work. From patient interactions to payments, our software sits at the heart of real clinical workflows.

As a Tech Lead, your role is to elevate the team — not to be the answer to everything. You'll shape how decisions are made, how software is built, and how we maintain quality at scale.

n

This is a high-impact role where your work directly affects clinicians and patients every day.

Key responsibilities:

n

- Guide technical decision-making to ensure the right calls are made at the right time
n
- Improve how the team designs, builds, tests, and delivers software
n
- Lead the use of agentic AI tools in development workflows
n
- Partner with Product and Design to align on priorities and solutions
n
- Maintain system health across performance, reliability, security, and technical debt
n
- Identify risks early and make them visible before they elevate
n

n

About You

n

You're an experienced engineer who naturally lifts the people around you.



You've played a key technical role in a team before and improved outcomes through your influence.

n

You're comfortable leading without needing to have all the answers, and you focus on enabling better decisions across the team.

n

You're also curious and hands‐on with emerging tools, particularly AI, and enjoy experimenting with new ways of building software.

n

You'll bring:

n

- Strong experience as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead
n
- Technical capability across: (Ruby on Rails, Node.js, TypeScript, React, AWS)
n
- Ability to contribute across the stack, with depth in at least one area
n
- Experience improving engineering practices and team performance
n
- A proactive approach to AI-enabled development
n
- Strong collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, and Delivery
n
- A builder mindset — you enjoy creating, experimenting, and learning
n
- (Bonus) Experience in healthcare or regulated environments
