About the Role

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine HMO (Registrar level) for a short-term locum placement at a major regional referral health service in Wangaratta, VIC. This contract runs from 20 to 23 July 2026, covering night shifts (10:30pm - 8:30am). You will join a well-supported emergency department within a health service of approximately 250 beds, gaining exposure to a broad and varied case mix in a collaborative regional environment.

- Assess and manage undifferentiated emergency presentations across all acuity levels during overnight shifts
n
- Provide high-quality clinical care within a busy regional emergency department
n
- Manage acute medical, surgical, paediatric and trauma presentations as part of the ED team
n
- Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health across a multidisciplinary environment
n
- Support referral and transfer coordination for patients requiring metropolitan or tertiary-level care
n
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You

n

n
- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
n
- Currently practising at HMO/Registrar level in Emergency Medicine
n
- Confident managing undifferentiated and high-acuity presentations overnight
n
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Eligible to work in Australia
n
