The Baths Middle Brighton, situated on the foreshore, is Bayside's events venue with breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay & Melbourne city skyline. Our events space, Upstairs at The Baths,hosts a variety of events from birthdays, mitzvahs, weddings & milestone life occasions to corporate events, business breakfasts and everything in between!

THE ROLE

Full-time

Reporting to the Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinating all event and wedding details from initial enquiry to final invoice via management of our CRM (Tripleseat).

Inbound & outbound calls are essential for lead generation, closing sales and building/maintaining relationships with direct client contact (in person, by phone and via email) from first contact right through to greeting the client on-the-day.

Event Sales and associated reporting.

Serve as a primary liaison point for all vendors/suppliers and participants on event-related matters by managing end-to-end logistics (events space, Food & Beverage, AV, runsheets, invoicing, bump-in/bump-out coordination to handover for on-the-day delivery).

Managing and creating all digital and traditional marketing material (e.g print collateral and event brochures, PR releases, blogs and EDMs etc.

Managing and creating content on wedding & event advertising platforms.

Managing and updating our website via Squarespace.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be a strong all-rounder with experience in events and hospitality. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, have experience planning and executing events from start to finish.

Experience working in a similar role/venue highly advantageous.

Previous experience working FOH in hospitality desirable with sound knowledge of hospitality service standards,



service delivery & event logistics.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to build on rapport & initiate return clientele/business.

Strong interpersonal skills essential to lead the department through communications with Front of House & Kitchen teams (weekly meetings & day to day interactions) for positive, productive working relationships.

You haveimpeccable customer service, understand the sensitive nature of information shared and uphold the confidence of clients by using discretion at all times.

Initiative-loving, highly organised, efficient and process orientated.

Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a quick-paced environment with sharp attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a small management team environment and work autonomously.

Well-developed problem-solving skills, the ability to identify issues and recommend appropriate strategies,use initiative & make decisions efficiently.

Highly skilled with digital technology including advanced MS Office skills.

Digital channel experience with CRM systems, design & web platforms (Canva/Squarespace) are essential.

Ability to work weekends and after hours if required, and flexibly to meet the demands of the job.
