The Townsville Yacht Club is one of Townsville's best waterfront dining and hospitality venues, offering stunning marina views, a relaxed atmosphere and a strong reputation for quality food, drinks and friendly service.

We are a member based Club with a diverse membership and community, and our team is at the heart of the experience we provide.

We trade Wednesday to Sunday, with a restaurant, bar and function spaces.

About the role

n

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join our team on a full time basis.

n

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will help lead and support our bar and restaurant team, ensuring excellent service and a welcoming experience for every member and guest.

n

This is a hands on leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working alongside their team and leading by example.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Supervising and supporting the bar and restaurant team
n
- Delivering exceptional customer service
n
- Training and developing team members
n
- Building strong product and Club knowledge
n
- Welcoming patrons and managing daily reservations
n
- Assisting with all areas of service, including taking orders, running food and drinks and assisting the pass
n
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and safety
n
- Opening and closing the restaurant and bar
n
- Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions
n
- Supporting functions and Club events when required
n




- Helping create a positive and enjoyable workplace for the team
n

About you

n

We are looking for someone with energy, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Hospitality Team Member
n
- A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- The ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team
n
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
n
- Excellent presentation and attention to detail
n
- The ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods
n
- A genuine enjoyment of working with people
n

Current QLD RSA Certificate

n

Food Handlers Certificate

n

Flexibility to work weekends and some split shifts
