Position: Chef Indian Cuisine -Curry and Tandoor

n

Curry Twist,Petrieis seeking a talented and experienced Chef specialising in Indian cuisine to join our team. As a full-time Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering delicious and authentic Indian dishes to our customers.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, and biryanis, according to traditional recipes and standards
n
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner
n
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
n
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
n
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they are following recipes and maintaining quality standards
n
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
n
- Ensure consistency and quality of all dishes by regularly tasting and adjusting seasonings as needed
n
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including portion control and waste management
n




- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu items
n
- Assist with catering events and large orders as needed
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef specialising in Indian cuisine
n
- Minimum ofCertifcate IV in Commercial Cookery equivalent qualification preferred
n
- Knowledge of Indian regional cuisine and cooking techniques
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
n
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
n
- Food safety and sanitation certification preferred
n

Salary Package: $73,500 -$75,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
