Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Secretary to join the team at Dr Rupert Ouyang's Specialist Urology practice in North Gosford, NSW. This is a part-time position 2-3 days a week with flexibility to cover sick and holiday relief.

Key responsibilities

- Managing patient appointments and maintaining accurate scheduling systems to optimise clinic flow
n
- Greeting patients in a warm and professional manner, creating a welcoming reception experience
n
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters, faxes and emails
n
- Preparing and maintaining patient medical records with confidentiality and accuracy
n
- Processing patient referrals and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed
n
- Managing administrative tasks such as typing, accurate data entry and record keeping
n
- Liaising with other healthcare providers and external organisations on behalf of the practice
n
- Assisting with billing and administrative procedures as required
n
- Supporting the doctor and clinical team with general administrative needs
n
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health privacy legislation at all times
n

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a medical administration within a medical practice or healthcare setting
n




- Proficiency in using paperless medical practice management software and standard office applications
n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
n
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour
n
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and compliance with health privacy regulations
n
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and data management
n
- A friendly and patient-focused approach to customer service
n
- Reliability and the ability to work independently within a small team setting
