n AWX Executive is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Fabricators to join a leading Australian manufacturing business based in Western Suburbs, Brisbane.

n

These are full-time casual positions paying $58/hr + super, with the prospect to transition into permanent employment after 6 months for the right candidates.

n

You'll be joining a busy, modern manufacturing facility producing high-quality stainless steel and sheet metal products for commercial and industrial applications.

n

The Role Working within the fabrication and production team, your duties will include:

n

n
- Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
n
- Working predominantly with stainless steel and light-gauge metals
n
- MIG and TIG welding where required
n
- Cutting, folding, forming and finishing sheet metal components
n
- Reading and interpreting workshop and engineering drawings
n




- Operating fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools
n
- Measuring and marking materials accurately
n
- Completing quality checks on finished products
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
n
- Working to production schedules and quality standards
n

n

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator or similar
n
- Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
n
- Experience working with stainless steel
n
- MIG and/or TIG welding experience
n
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
n
- Confident use of fabrication equipment, hand tools and power tools
n
- Strong measuring and attention-to-detail skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a production environment
n
- Trade qualification in Sheet Metal/Fabrication highly regarded
n
- Forklift Licence (LF) advantageous
n
