We are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor to oversee operational activities at our Port Melbourne site. This role requires solid leadership, technical oversight, and a commitment to safety and compliance. You will be responsible for coordinating teams and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Contract: 6-9 months

What You'll Do:
n

- Safety & Compliance: Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment; ensure all team members follow WHS standards and procedures..
n
- Contractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors, oversee site logistics (access, deliveries, plant positioning), and represent the team in site meetings.
n
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily logs, inspection records, and corrective action reports; provide updates on progress and deviations.
n
- Induction & Competency Checks: Support worker inductions, verify licenses/tickets, and ensure competency across all operatives.
n
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes,
efficiency, and safety outcomes.
n

What You'll Bring:
n
n
- Trade qualification (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication).
n
- Proven supervisory experience in trade, energy, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.
n
- Strong technical knowledge with ability to interpret engineering/project documents.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and operational teams effectively.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
n
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and industry codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
