Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife (MGP) for a short-term contract at Longreach, located in the Central West Queensland region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Midwife to experience rural and remote Queensland while supporting the delivery of high-quality maternity care.

About The Role

- Position: Registered Midwife – MGP
n
- Location: Longreach Hospital, QLD
n
- Contract: 31 August 2026 – 27 September 2026
n

About you To be considered, you will have:

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
n
- Previous experience working within Queensland Health
n
- Senior-level midwifery experience appropriate to an NG6 position
n
- Advanced knowledge and applied clinical skills across pregnancy,



intrapartum and postnatal care
n
- Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking and ethical decision-making skills
n
- Experience coordinating and managing maternity care
n
- Neonatal Resuscitation (Neoresus) qualification
n
- Birth Suite experience
n
- Availability for the full contract period
n
