Project Controls Manager – Data Centres | Sydney, Australia

We're hiring for a Project Controls Manager to join a leading international contractor delivering a hyperscale data centre campus in Sydney, Australia.

n

You'll work across programme, progress, productivity, cost and risk, providing senior project leadership with the information needed to make informed delivery decisions.

n

Australian visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, with relocation support provided.

What You'll Be Doing:

n

n
- Develop and manage baseline programmes, construction schedules and recovery plans, including procurement and commissioning.
n
- Track progress, productivity and milestones, identifying delays and impacts to the critical path.
n
- Manage schedule risks, float and recovery opportunities, working with delivery teams to keep the project on track.
n
- Forecast completion dates, labour requirements, budget outcomes and project risk.
n
- Produce weekly and monthly project controls reporting, including dashboards, progress curves, delay analysis and risk summaries.
n
- Work closely with project, engineering, commercial, planning and site teams, providing clear insight into project performance and emerging risks.

Key Requirements for Success:

n

n
- Proven experience in Project Controls, Planning, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or Site/Project Engineering within the data centre sector.
n
- Strong understanding of programme logic, sequencing, critical path and schedule management.
n
- Experience monitoring progress, productivity, milestones and project performance.
n
- Strong analytical, forecasting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, delays and recovery opportunities.
n
- Experience producing weekly and monthly project reporting for senior project and client stakeholders.
n
- Strong practical understanding of construction operations and project delivery, ideally within a Tier 1/main contractor environment.
n
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
n
