About the Role: (Thursday and Saturday Permanent Part Time)

As a Lifestyle Carer at Mary Andrews Village in South Hurstville, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will work closely with our residents to develop and implement individual lifestyle plans that support their personal interests, abilities, and goals. Your compassionate and patient approach will help create a warm and welcoming setting where residents feel valued and cared for.

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification or,
n
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services.
n
- All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
n
- NDIS Screening Check Clearance
n

About You

n

n
- Experience in aged care or disability support is highly desirable.
n
- A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n




- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
n
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
n

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement lifestyle programs tailored to the needs and preferences of residents.
n
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement.
n
- Encourage and support residents to participate in recreational and leisure activities.
n
- Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
n
- Collaborate with the broader care team to provide holistic support to residents.
n
- Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
n
