You are professional, punctual and team focused, with the leadership presence to set a positive example and foster a workplace culture that is both supportive and efficient. You make decisions that prioritise integrity, and you're comfortable working within workplace regulations, liquor licensing laws and other relevant standards.

Training, supervising and mentoring casual FOH team members on shift
Opening and closing the venue in line with checklists and management instruction
Undertaking general and specialist waiting duties, including taking reservations, seating guests and running the POS
Preparing beverages to standard, including recipes, garnish and correct measures, and maintaining robust product knowledge across the bar
Assisting with stocktakes and beverage orders, and maintaining awareness of inventory and stock locations
Assigning team members to sections and delegating tasks to keep the floor,
bar and functions running smoothly
Rostering and timesheet oversight, including ensuring breaks are taken as directed and approving timesheets on shifts you supervise
Managing customer relations and complaints calmly and empathetically, and ensuring customer areas are always clean and presentable
Upholding safety standards in line with our Health & Safety Manual, including spill clean-up, hazard awareness and appropriate use of protective clothing
Communicating openly with the team, Duty Managers, Head Chef and Venue Manager on operations and performance
What we offer:
Supportive team culture
Career progression through on the job learning and upskilling as the business grows
Discounted food and drinks
Dedicated parking spot
The right candidate will ideally have:
2+ years' previous experience as a Duty Manager or supervisor in a licensed venue
Current Approved Manager's Card
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
Sound knowledge of liquor licensing and workplace regulations
Availability to work weekends and evenings
Proficiency with rostering and POS systems
In addition to this, we need people with the following "soft skills":
Strong leadership and people skills (emotional intelligence)
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with staff and customers
Eye for detail and quality
Effective under stress with great time management
Flexibility, adaptability and problem-solving skills
Stamina for long hours and manual/physical work
