GEARS Mining is an Australian owned company and home of the record-breaking "World's Largest Mill Relining Machine". We provide specialist maintenance solutions and products to mine sites located across six continents.

Due to continuous business growth and a newly released product range, GEARS Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our enthusiastic team in a fixed term role.

n

About the role

n

This role requires a mixture of both domestic and international travel.

n

Prior to commencing travel, training on our products will take place within the factory setting.

n

Tasks

n

n
- Complete mechanical, hydraulic and electrical preventative maintenance, diagnosis, trouble shooting and repairs on mine site process plant equipment
n
- Perform breakdown repairs as required to ensure minimal downtime
n
- Installation and testing of GEARS Mining products as required
n
- Participate in skills and product training
n
- Maintain and complete all paperwork associated with the job
n

Skills and experience

n

n
- Australian Trade Qualification, either Diesel fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Auto Electrician or Electrician
n
- Ability to obtain National Police clearance
n
- Able to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
n
- Ability to obtain passport
n
- High level of attention to details focusing on customer satisfaction
n
- Sound literacy skills and ability
n
- Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Word & Excel
n
- Robust communication and time management skills
n
- Outstanding work ethic with ability to work both as part of a team or autonomously as required while demonstrating a strong commitment to safety
n

- High Risk Forklift and Dogging ticket
n
- Completed confined space entry
n
- Completed Working at Heights
n
- Experience with CAN Bus Systems
n
- Experience with Low Voltage electrical systems.
n
- Experience with Rockbreakers
n
- Experience with field work and working away from home
n
- Experience with forklift or elevated work platform diagnosis and repair
n
- Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Software)
