Interstate MC Driver Wanted for a Regular Mount Gambier to Melbourne Run

n

K&S; Freighters is looking for an experienced Interstate MC Truck Driver to join its Mount Gambier transport team.

n

This position offers a regular long-haul run between Mount Gambier and Melbourne. Along the way, you'll complete a pickup in Portland before continuing to Melbourne.

n

At Truganina, a preloaded trailer allows for a quick hitch before the return journey to Mount Gambier. As a result, the run is designed to keep freight moving efficiently.

n

The route covers approximately 900 kilometres return. Therefore, it is ideally suited to a professional MC driver who enjoys consistent interstate work.

n

You'll receive competitive trip-based pay. In addition, incentives are available for completing load restraint duties.

About the MC Driver Role

n

As an Interstate MC Truck Driver, you'll operate between Mount Gambier, Portland and Melbourne.

n

Importantly, safety and compliance remain at the centre of every trip.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Operating MC combinations on interstate linehaul runs
n




- Travelling between Mount Gambier and Melbourne
n
- Completing scheduled freight pickups in Portland
n
- Completing a preloaded quick-hitch trailer change at Truganina
n
- Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
n
- Maintaining accurate electronic work diary records
n
- Managing fatigue in line with BFM requirements
n
- Following NHVR regulations and road transport legislation
n
- Communicating with dispatch and site personnel
n
- Providing professional customer service
n
- Maintaining high standards of vehicle and freight safety
n

n

Occasional overnight stays in the truck may also be required.

What You'll Need

To be considered, you'll need:

- Current Australian MC Licence
n
- BFM Accreditation
n
- Previous MC driving experience
n
- Regional or interstate experience highly regarded
n
- Good understanding of load restraint
n
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements
n
- Understanding of NHVR fatigue regulations
n
- Clean and safe driving record
n
- Ability to complete load restraint duties safely
n
- Ability to manage long-distance driving
n
- Professional and reliable attitude
n
- Ability to work independently
n
