About the Role
n
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month contract, working 3 days per week from our Wangara office.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with who enjoys working with numbers, providing great customer service and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services while working closely with employees and stakeholders across the business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Processing monthly and fortnightly payrolls
n
- Responding to employee payroll enquiries
n
- Supporting payroll tax, superannuation and compliance activities
n
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and journal entries
n
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
n
- Contributing to payroll reporting and administrative processes
n
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
n
- Assist with ad hoc finance and payroll activities as required
n

Desired Skills and Experience

About You
n
We're open to candidates from a range of payroll backgrounds.
n
You may be an experienced Payroll Officer looking for flexibility, a Payroll Administrator ready for your next challenge, or a Finance professional with payroll exposure who is keen to further develop their skills.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
- Previous payroll, finance or administration experience
n
- An understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
n
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills
n
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
n
n
Experience with Definitiv payroll software would be advantageous but is not essential.
n
