Mechanical Installer / Mechanical Tradesperson

Join HITEC Electrical Contracting and work on major rail, transport and industrial infrastructure projects across NSW.

We're looking for reliable, mechanically minded people to join our growing team delivering installation, maintenance and commissioning works across a range of infrastructure projects.
n
Whether you're a qualified Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician, Tradesperson, Trades Assistant or have experience in rail, construction, manufacturing, maintenance or industrial environments, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Role
n
As part of the HITEC team, you will be involved in the installation, assembly, maintenance and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment across rail, transport and industrial sites.
n
The role offers a variety of work and the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of projects throughout NSW while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Perform the mechanical assembly and installation of equipment, infrastructure and associated components.
n
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical assets.
n
- Install and maintain cable management systems and associated hardware.
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation plans and technical documentation.
n
- Assist with equipment positioning, alignment and mechanical commissioning.
n
- Inspect equipment, identify defects and carry out repairs or component replacement where required.
n
- Work collaboratively with electrical and communications personnel to deliver integrated project outcomes.
n
- Complete quality assurance documentation, maintenance records and inspection reports.
n
- Comply with company procedures, client requirements and all WHS legislation.
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
Successful candidates will ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
n
n
- Mechanical installation, assembly or maintenance work.
n
- Rail, transport, infrastructure, construction, industrial or manufacturing environments.
n
- Use of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
n
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
n
- Working safely in a project or maintenance environment.
n
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
n
Qualifications and Tickets
n
The following are advantageous but not essential:
n
n
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or similar.
n
- Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
n
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence.
n
- Working at Heights.
n
- Confined Space.
n
- Dogging or Rigging qualifications.
n
- Previous rail industry experience.
n
n
Candidates with robust mechanical aptitude and relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not hold all of the above qualifications.
