The Lucas Group is partnering with an innovative Australian AgTech business to appoint a Business Development Manager in Northern Queensland.

This is an opportunity to own and grow a regional territory, introducing technology that helps farmers make smarter decisions about their water assets.

Servicing Northern Queensland, and ideally based around Rockhampton, this role offers autonomy, strong earning potential and the prospect to be part of a growing AgTech business.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses and key industry stakeholders
n
- Develop relationships with industry associations, distributors and channel partners
n
- Represent the business at agricultural events, field days, forums and networking opportunities
n
- Present technology solutions to prospective customers and industry groups
n
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM
n
- Travel throughout the region to meet customers and develop new opportunities
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- 2+ years' sales or business development experience in agriculture, animal health, rural merchandise, water or irrigation
n
- A proven ability to build pipeline, identify opportunities and close sales
n
- Robust communication, presentation and relationship‐building skills
n
- Confidence representing a business at industry events, forums and field days
n
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
n
- A self‐starting, results‐focused approach
n
- Willingness to travel
n
