We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Export Operator to join our team based in our brand-new, purpose-built facility in Tullamarine.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Ensure Consol and Shipment is registered in CW1
n
- Ensure quotes are sent to the client in timely manner using CW1 and client rates entered correctly to enable auto rating and correct billing.
n
- Provide complete and necessary information to internal/external suppliers to arrange pick up with optimum efficiency
n
- Ensure if Cargo is hazardous that systems and documents are completed correctly and all stakeholders are advised of the hazardous nature
n
- Provide customers with pick‐up and delivery information and ensure speedy response to clients' needs.
n
- Send booking confirmation to shipper/supplier where required
n
- Ensure all required documents are received from supplier and where required scanned into CW1
n
- Expedite export customs clearance and security formalities (where required) in line with local legislative requirements
n
- Confirm uplift and initiates tracking/tracing of cargo and report to stakeholders of any missing/delayed cargo
n
- Solve problems, as quickly and efficiently as possible, while reporting any discrepancies and customer complaints with a view to preventing recurrence
n
- Liaise with suppliers (agents, carriers, overseas agents) regarding any delays or issues.
Liaise with supervisor and/or colleagues on matters and keep them informed where necessary
n
- Handle claims and cargo discrepancies per prescribed procedures
n
- Ensure customer and agent invoicing and financial cost processing (local, overseas, commissions) are completed within the required time frames and in accordance with the company's Global business objectives.

- Ensure daily work system usage is optimised in order to increase productivity and efficiency
n

Requirements
n

- Export air and sea operations experience within freight forwarding
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
n
- CW1 experience preferred
n
- Customer service driven attitude with the ability to find efficient solutions for the customer
n
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, organisational, planning and time management skills
n
- A can do attitude with passion, dedication and commitment to providing customer service excellence
