Medical Receptionist - Urgent Care Clinic Nowra

The Medical Receptionist of Grand Pacific Health Centre Nowra (GPHCN) and the Nowra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a fast-paced clinic environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience for all individuals accessing care.

This fixed-term, part-time role is available until 30 June 2028, with the possibility of extension. The role is 32 hours per week across a set seven-day roster, including expected weekend and evening shifts.

Duties

n

- Welcome patients and deliver exceptional service. Manage enquiries, bookings and appointment scheduling to ensure a positive patient experience.
n
- Maintain accurate patient records, billing and clinic administration. Support clinicians and keep daily operations running smoothly and efficiently.
n
- Uphold quality, safety and privacy standards. Monitor compliance,



identify improvement opportunities and help achieve service targets.

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Qualifications in administration or a combination of relevant training and experience deemed to be appropriate
n
- Exceptional customer service skills, with prior experience in a medical reception setting with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and practice information
n
- Outstanding communication skills, including a qualified and personable telephone manner.
n
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organisational skills.
