We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Plant Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Operations and Finance leaders to drive plant performance through insightful financial analysis, robust reporting, and strategic business support.

n

This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about turning data into actionable insights that improve profitability, efficiency, and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and report weekly and monthly financial results, forecasts, budgets, and performance scorecards.
n
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
n
- Investigate actual versus budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective action.
n
- Prepare monthly journals, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
n




- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
n
- Lead or support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
n
- Monitor operating costs, inventory performance, and capital expenditure projects.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
n
- Support business improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects.
n
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
n

You will also bring to the table:

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
n
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress) preferred.
n
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain, or operational environments.
n
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
n
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
n
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively.
n
- Demonstrated experience identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven environment
