Our exploration team has a strong track record of discovery and resource growth, having delivered over 2.2 million ounces of gold reserves in recent years.

The Role
n
We are seeking an Exploration Geologist to join the Mt Gibson team on a 2:2 roster.
n
Reporting to the Exploration Manager whilst working closely with Project Exploration Geologists, you will assist in the planning and execution of exploration programs and provide technical support across:

- Supervision of AC, RC and diamond drill programs (including data capture, entry, QA/QC and validation)
n
- Design, coordination and implementation of mapping, surface sampling and drill programs
n
- Analysis and interpretation of drilling results and generation of new targets
n
- Validation and interrogation of historical data
n
- Mentoring and supervision of Field Assistants
n
n
About You
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Geology major) from a recognised tertiary institution
n
- Genuine enthusiasm for geology and discovery
n
- Minimum 3 years' relevant professional experience preferred
n
- Drill program experience (supervision, logging, data validation and database management – Diamond, RC, AC)
n
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
n
- Full C Class manual driver's licence (Mandatory)
n
- 4WD experience (well regarded)
n
- Experience with geological and GIS software well regarded
n
- Senior First Aid and remote-area competency (highly regarded)
n
