About the role
n
Located at Cairns Airport, the Cash & Sales Officer plays a key role in supporting the finance functions by managing, processing, and reconciling all cash and sales-related activities. This role ensures that financial operations are accurate, productive, and compliant with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Preparing daily, weekly and periodic cash and sales administration
n
- Preparing and distributing weekly sales reports to corporate, local partners and management
n
- Coordinating and processing daily and weekly banking, including cash and foreign currency
n
- Preparing and processing sales tax invoices and flight delay vouchers
n
- Monitoring debtor ageing and following up in line with agreed credit terms
n
- Participating in regular cash, register and nest audits and maintaining accurate documentation
n
- Supporting daily cash requirements, including maintaining prescribed coin bag and safe float values
n
- Providing cover for Cash & Sales functions and cash/foreign currency reconciliation during short-term absences
n
- Processing and downloading credit card transactions and tax invoices for reconciliation
n
- Liaising with banking partners regarding relevant documentation and account matters
n
- Ensuring cash handlers comply with company cash handling policies and procedures
n
- Maintaining accurate filing systems for payment vouchers and remittance slips
n
- Processing and maintaining internet banking transactions
n
- Providing general administrative and finance support as required
n

About you
n
n
- Has previous experience in a finance, accounts, cash handling or administration role
n
- Has strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
n
- Is confident working with numbers, financial records and reconciliations
n
- Has strong computer and administrative skills
n
- Communicates confidently with internal teams, external partners and banking providers
n
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and financial controls
n
- Is reliable, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team
n
- Experience with cash handling, banking, reconciliations or sales reporting will be highly regarded.
