Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive OHS / Work Health & Safety Representative on behalf of our client.

n

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe workplace, supporting our team with health and safety requirements, and ensuring our site documentation and processes remain compliant with relevant WHS legislation and company procedures.

n

We are seeking someone who is confident working in office, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable using HammerTech for safety management, inspections, reporting and documentation.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Promote a strong safety culture across the workplace and worksites
n
- Conduct workplace and site safety inspections
n
- Identify hazards and assist with risk assessments and control measures
n
- Monitor and report on workplace health and safety compliance
n
- Assist with incident, hazard and near-miss reporting and investigations
n
- Maintain accurate WHS documentation and records
n
- Assist with toolbox talks, inductions and safety meetings
n
- Support workers and supervisors with WHS requirements
n
- Ensure SWMS, JSA and other safety documentation is current and compliant
n
- Enter and maintain safety information through HammerTech
n




- Follow up outstanding safety actions and ensure corrective measures are implemented
n
- Assist management with ongoing WHS improvements
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A Work Health & Safety / OHS qualification or certificate
n
- Previous experience in an OHS/WHS role within the construction industry.
n
- Hands-on experience using HammerTech
n
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and workplace safety requirements
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- The ability to work independently and confidently communicate with workers, supervisors and management
n
- A practical, proactive approach to workplace safety
n
- Current driver's licence
n
