About the Role

n

We are looking for a hands-on Park Asset Maintenance team member to assist with the maintenance, cleaning, repairs and minor construction of park assets. This wide-ranging outdoor role will see you working across playgrounds, park furniture, fencing and other public assets to ensure they remain safe, functional and well presented.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out maintenance, repairs and minor construction works across playgrounds, park furniture and fencing.
n
- Complete repairs, painting and staining of park furniture and other assets.
n
- Undertake routine cleaning and pressure washing of park furniture, showers, drinking fountains and surrounding areas.
n
- Remove graffiti from Council assets and public spaces.
n
- Perform general handyman and minor repair works as required.
n
- Inspect assets and identify damage, hazards or maintenance requirements.
n
- Safely operate hand and power tools required to complete maintenance activities.
n
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools and equipment.
n
- Follow safety procedures and work practices to ensure a safe environment for yourself, your team and the public.

About You

n

n
- Previous experience in asset maintenance, handyman work, parks maintenance, construction or a similar hands-on role will be highly regarded.
n
- Experience completing minor repairs, painting, staining and general maintenance works.
n
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
- A practical approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
n
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
n
- Current Driver Licence.
n
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
n
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
n
