Job Description

Due to the current expansion of our business, we are in need of a highly experienced formwork carpenter whose main responsibility would be as follows:

n

n
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements
n
- Determine all materials needed for each job
n
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
n
- Cut and shape building materials according to measurements
n
- Measure, cut and assemble wooden and metal forms for pouring concrete
n
- Inspect completed formwork to ensure conformance to specifications
n
- Enable the stability of structures through the installation of shoring
n




- Disassemble formwork after use in a way that allows for its reuse.
n
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain a protected and clean environment
n

The successful candidates will have:

n

n
- At least 2 years previous experience as a formwork carpenter in off site precast fabrication
n
- Certificate III in Carpentry
n
- Must have a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
n
- Carpentry work experience in building and construction is desirable.
n
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
n
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
n
- Truck license, civil experience with machinery tickets will be an advantage
n
