- Assist in sale day activities including:
n
- Pre-sale scanning of livestock;
n
- Receival of, loading and unloading of livestock
n
- Drafting and penning of livestock
n
- Post-sale weighing and delivery;
n
- Counting andreconcile animals sold and delivered;
n
- Undertake feeding of livestock;
n
- Other duties as directed by the Business Manager

Job requirements:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in livestock handling and sale yard processes;
n
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of animal welfare and safe work practicesin a sale yard environment;
n
- Demonstrated skills in horsemanship and the ability to work livestock on horseback;
n
- Capable of operating feed mixer tractors bobcat loaders
n
- Ability to undertake manual activities and meet the physical demands of a sale yard working workplace;
n
- Ability to take direction, follow policies and procedures and work well in a team as well as unsupervised;
n
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including staff, customers, agents and contractors; and
n
- Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
