Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable FinanceManager to join our transport company and take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting functions of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented accounting professional who can work independently and enjoys working closely with an operations team.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up overdue accounts
n
- Process supplier invoices and payments
n
- Complete bank and account reconciliations
n
- Manage driver and subcontractor payments
n
- Monitor cash flow and prepare basic financial reports
n
- Assist with BAS, GST, payroll and other accounting requirements
n
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure all jobs are accurately and promptly invoiced
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
n
- Provide accounting support and information to management as required
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Officer or similar accounting role
n
- Experience within the transport or logistics industry is highly desirable
n
- Strong knowledge and practical experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel
n
- A sound understanding of Australian accounting and GST requirements
n
- Excellent attention to detail and robust organisational skills
n
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
