We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy steel distribution operation at Smeaton Grange. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play an key role in coordinating the day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring orders are picked, packed and loaded correctly and deliveries are organised and dispatched on time. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands warehouse operations, enjoys working with a team and can keep the shop floor running efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key responsibilities

- Assist the Operations Manager with the daily planning and coordination of warehouse operations
n
- Organise and coordinate daily truck runs and deliveries
n
- Coordinate picking and packing of customer orders
n
- Ensure trucks are loaded safely, correctly and efficiently
n
- Check orders and materials prior to dispatch
n
- Coordinate the warehouse and shop floor team throughout the day
n




- Allocate daily tasks and monitor staff productivity
n
- Assist with managing incoming and outgoing stock
n
- Maintain good housekeeping and organisation across the warehouse and yard
n
- Ensure safe work practices and company procedures are followed
n

About you

n

n
- Experienced in warehouse supervision or distribution
n
- Ideally has steel distribution or steel industry experience
n
- Confident coordinating a team and allocating daily work
n
- Organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
n
- Hands-on and willing to get involved on the warehouse floor
n
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
n
- Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of warehouse safety
n
- Reliable, punctual and professional
n
- A good communicator with a practical, problem-solving approach
n
- Forklift licence and HC Truck Licence is highly desirable
n
