2x Maintenance Fitter - Dayshift & Afternoon Shift

Maintenance Fitter
n Rates: Dayshift $50.50 Afternoon Shift $58.07 (inclusive of 15% shift loading)
n Overtime: Plenty available each week plus Saturday shifts!
n Hours - Dayshift 5am-1pm Monday to Friday. Afternoon shift 1pm-9pm Monday to Friday
n Company - Leading Food Manufacturing Business
n Candidate - Maintenance Fitter experience in Manufacturing needed!
n Location - Wacol, QLD

The Opportunity
n We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Wacol.

n

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically skilled fitter looking to secure a stable dayshift position within a high volume manufacturing environment.
n You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of production equipment while working closely with the wider maintenance and production teams.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and plant equipment
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime
n
- Conduct inspections, servicing and scheduled maintenance
n
- Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
n
- Assist with continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
n




- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
n
- Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently
n

About You

n

n
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
n
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills
n
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes
n
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
n
- Reliable, hands-on and proactive approach
n
