We have Casual and Permanent Part time opportunities available across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Ipswich and surrounding areas, offering a mix of day, afternoon, weekend, active overnight and sleepover shifts.
n
To be considered for this role, you will need open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts.

Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes throughout Ipswich, Redbank Plains, Goodna, Springfield, Ripley, Yamanto and surrounding communities, you will play a vital role in empowering people with disability to live independently, build confidence and achieve their goals.
n
Whether supporting people with complex support needs or helping someone develop everyday life skills, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values inclusion, respect and person-centred support.

Key Duties
n
n
- Supporting people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
n
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene needs where required.
n
- Supporting meal planning, cooking, light household cleaning and community participation.
n
- Assisting with appointments, recreational activities and social outings.
n
- Helping the people we support maintain connections with family, friends and community services.
n
- Promoting independence, choice and active participation in everyday life.
n

Our Ideal Candidate
n
Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern.
n
You will be confident providing personal care and daily living support while creating a safe, respectful and empowering environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure,
respond appropriately to challenging situations and build meaningful relationships is essential.
n
Most importantly, you are passionate about empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.
n
We Also Require
n
n
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is highly regarded.
n
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, early mornings, active overnight shifts and sleepovers.
n
- Good computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.
n
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
n
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
n
- National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work).
n
- Open Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
n
