We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Nominated Supervisor to join our early childhood education and care service. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the service operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations, while creating a safe, inclusive and high-quality environment where children, families and educators feel valued and supported. You will provide strong day-to-day leadership, mentor and support our team, and work collaboratively with educators, families and management to promote positive outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service and provide effective educational and operational leadership.
n
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards and relevant policies and procedures.
n
- Maintain a strong focus on children's health, safety, wellbeing and learning.
n
- Lead, mentor and support educators to build a positive, professional and collaborative team culture.
n
- Support the development and implementation of the service's educational program and continuous improvement plan.
n
- Build respectful and meaningful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
n
- Monitor staffing, ratios, supervision and the effective deployment of educators.
n
- Ensure policies, procedures, records and documentation are maintained to a high standard.
n
- Manage and respond appropriately to incidents, complaints, concerns and child protection matters.
n
- Support staff performance, professional development and ongoing learning.

About you

n

n




- An experienced early childhood professional and confident leader with a Diploma or ECT qualification.
n
- Passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes for children.
n
- Knowledgeable about the NQF, National Regulations and National Quality Standards.
n
- A strong communicator who builds genuine relationships with families and educators.
n
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
n
- Confident in making decisions and leading a team.
n
- Committed to inclusion, child safety and respectful practice.
n
- Professional, approachable and able to lead by example.
n
- Approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, such as a Diploma or Bachelor qualification.
n
- Current ACECQA-approved qualification and relevant experience with eligibility to be appointed as a Nominated Supervisor.
n
- Current Working with Children Check and any other checks required for the position.
n
- Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications.
n
- Solid knowledge of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements.
n
- Previous leadership or management experience within an early childhood service is highly desirable.
n
