Working arrangement: 5 days onsite in Melbourne CBD (first 3 months), then hybrid

ROLE OVERVIEW
n
Are you an experienced AI professional who enjoys building practical enterprise solutions and shaping how organisations adopt emerging technology?
n
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help establish and grow an internal AI capability within a large enterprise environment. This is a highly autonomous, hands-on role where you will research emerging technologies, develop enterprise AI solutions and provide trusted advice on how AI can be adopted securely and effectively across the organisation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
n
n
- Partner with senior engineering and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective AI solution designs.
n
- Design, build and maintain enterprise AI solutions, including chatbots, copilots, AI agents and intelligent workflow automations.
n
- Develop rapid proof-of-concepts and pilots, assess their viability and integrate successful solutions into existing enterprise platforms.
n
- Provide practical AI advisory and technical guidance to business units looking to adopt AI within their workflows.
n
- Support software developers, project managers and technical teams with AI architecture, development and implementation.
n
- Research emerging AI technologies, platforms and capabilities and recommend suitable opportunities for enterprise adoption.
n
- Use AI tools and models to support specialised research, analysis and the development of executive-level reports and presentations.
n
- Deliver AI demonstrations, workshops and training sessions to improve AI capability and literacy across the organisation.
n
- Ensure AI solutions comply with organisational requirements across data privacy, cybersecurity, risk and AI governance.
n
- Develop technical documentation, reusable components, development standards and best practices to support scalable AI adoption.

MORE ABOUT YOU
n
n
- Proven experience designing, developing and deploying AI solutions within a complex corporate or enterprise setting.
n
- Practical experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications via APIs.
n
- Hands-on experience with at least two major AI platforms. This must include Microsoft Copilot Studio, alongside others such as:
n
- OpenAI
n
- Anthropic Claude
n
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, Retrieval‐Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, vector databases and embeddings.
n
- Strong analytical and solution design skills, with the ability to convert ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions.
n
- Ability to clearly communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across developers, business analysts, project managers, business teams and senior stakeholders.
n

GOOD TO HAVE
n
n
- Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
n
- Cloud or AI certifications such as Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate or AWS Certified AI Practitioner.
n
- Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse.
n
- Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
n
- Robotic Process Automation platforms such as UiPath or other intelligent automation technologies.
n
n
