Job Description

RPR Trades is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a temp-to-perm opportunity within a busy hospital linen services facility in North Brisbane.

This role is suited to a reliable, safety-focused electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience who is confident fault-finding, repairing and maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced operating setting.

About the Role

n

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment used across a high-volume linen services facility. Equipment may include industrial washers, dryers, ironing systems, conveyors, motors, VSDs, control panels, PLC-controlled machinery and supporting electrical infrastructure.

n

You will work closely with maintenance, production and site teams to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

n

Duties May Include

n

n
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery
n
- Electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
n
- Repairs to motors, VSDs, control panels, sensors and electrical components
n
- Troubleshooting control circuits using electrical drawings and schematics
n
- Supporting maintenance on washers, dryers, conveyors and laundry processing equipment
n
- Assisting with equipment upgrades, modifications and commissioning
n
- Completing maintenance records and documentation
n
- Following LOTO, electrical safety and site procedures
n
- Working safely in a healthcare-related production environment
n

To Be Considered

n

You will need:

n

n
- Current unrestricted Electrical Licence




n
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
n
- Industrial maintenance experience
n
- Experience fault-finding production or manufacturing equipment
n
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
n
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and Australian Standards
n
- Current driver licence
n
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n

Highly Regarded Experience

n

n
- Commercial laundry or linen services
n
- Hospital, healthcare, food, pharmaceutical or industrial processing environments
n
- PLC-controlled equipment
n
- VSDs, MCCs, motors, sensors and control panels
n
- Conveyors, steam systems, boilers or automated production equipment
n
- CMMS maintenance systems
n
- EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid or CPR
n
