We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Event Manager to join our team at Ocean, Exmouth.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

n

As Event Manager, you'll oversee the full event journey from initial enquiry through to delivery and post-event follow-up.

n

You'll work closely with clients to understand their requirements, offer advice and guidance, coordinate event details and ensure

n

every aspect of the experience is delivered to the highest standard. Whether it's a wedding, birthday celebration, conference,

n

charity event or an Ocean-led experience, you'll make sure every detail is planned and executed seamlessly.

n

You'll be responsible for:

n

n
- Managing event enquiries and guiding clients through the booking process
n
- Conducting venue show rounds and building strong client relationships
n
- Planning and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and professionally
n
- Liaising with operational teams, chefs, suppliers and external partners to deliver exceptional experiences
n
- Supporting and developing a varied programme of events throughout the year
n
- Working alongside marketing colleagues to promote events and maximise attendance
n
- Monitoring event performance, budgets and customer feedback to continually improve the offer
n
- Leading by example, supporting colleagues and helping maintain high service standards across the venue
n




- Ensuring all events are delivered safely and in line with health, safety and compliance requirements
n

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

n

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience managing or coordinating events with an emphasis on Weddings
n
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
n
- Builds positive relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers
n
- Remains calm under pressure and enjoys working in a busy environment
n
- Has outstanding communication and customer service skills
n
- Can manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional standards
n
- Brings creativity, initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving
n
- Is adaptable and willing to work evenings and weekends when required by the business
