Mustard Seed Christian Childcare exists to help local churches reach their communities with the valuable news of Jesus Christ, and to provide high quality, Christian early childhood education and childcare.
We are opening new services and looking for the right person to lead those teams. We are looking for centre directors in each ofPort Kembla, andLindfield.
Role Overview:
The Directoris responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and educational excellence of a centre. Theywill ensure a safe, compliant, and high-quality learning environment while mentoring and supporting educators to deliver outstanding outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations at a centre.
- Drive pedagogical excellence, including curriculum development, documentation of children’s learning, and embedding critical reflection and quality improvement
- Mentor, coach, and support educators to enhance professional capability and confidence
- Oversee operational compliance, regulatory requirements, and service administration, with support from head office
- Maintain a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with the Christian values of Mustard Seed Christian Childcare
- Ensure continuity of care through limited on-the-floor responsibilities as required

- Strong time management, prioritisation,
and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Motivated, independent, and proactive approach to leadership
- Relational leadership style, fostering respect, encouragement, and accountability
Qualifications:
- ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching qualification (or equivalent)
- Teacher accreditation with NESA
- Prescribed child protection and child safety training (or willingness to obtain)
- Approved first aid, anaphylaxis, and emergency asthma management training (or willingness to obtain)
