Senior Project Architect / Design Manager

An established architecture and design practice is seeking an experienced Senior Project Lead / Design Manager to join its Sydney team. This is a unique dual-role opportunity, combining Design Management responsibilities on a major industrial project with Project Leadership across other current and future projects.

As a Design Manager, you will;

n

n
- Lead and coordinate design delivery across complex projects and multiple stages.
n
- Manage internal teams, consultants and sub-consultants to ensure coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
n
- Oversee consultant appointments, scopes, fees, deliverables and contractual requirements.
n
- Manage design coordination, documentation, quality assurance and design administration.
n
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
n
- Ensure design delivery aligns with project scope, programme, budget and client requirements.
n

And as a Senior Project Architect;

n

n
- Lead projects from inception through to completion.
n
- Provide strategic leadership to project teams and consultants.
n
- Manage project performance, programme, budget, scope, risk and commercial outcomes.
n
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
n
- Oversee project delivery, governance, administration and resource planning.
n
- Contribute to business development and broader practice leadership.
n




- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery systems and processes.
n

To be successful, you will have;

n

n
- Registered Architect and/or a relevant architectural degree from a recognised institution.
n
- Strong experience leading complex projects through multiple stages.
n
- Proven industrial project experience at a senior level is essential.
n
- Expert knowledge of consultant coordination, appointments, scopes, fees, deliverables and contracts.
n
- Solid commercial awareness and professional judgement.
n
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
n
- Experience with resource planning, project governance and delivery oversight.
n
- Expert proficiency in Revit and BIM, with a strong understanding of coordinated documentation.
n
