Operations Director | Healthcare Services

Are you an experienced healthcare operations leader who enjoys improving the way teams work?

We are recruiting an Operations Director to join an established and growing healthcare organisation in Brisbane. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for multiple operational teams and their Team Leaders.

n

You will be joining the business at an exciting stage of growth. They are looking for someone who can bring structure, develop their leaders, improve processes and take real ownership.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Lead and support multiple Team Leaders and their teams
n
- Take ownership of day-to-day operational performance
n
- Set explicit expectations and ensure teams are meeting their KPIs
n
- Identify problems, bottlenecks and areas where processes can be improved
n
- Improve productivity, quality, accuracy and turnaround times
n
- Review financial and transactional processes and investigate discrepancies
n
- Develop Team Leaders and help them become stronger people managers
n
- Manage performance issues when required
n
- Use data and reporting to understand what's working and what needs attention
n
- Improve processes, systems and operational controls
n
- Work closely with senior leaders and other areas of the business
n
- Help build a positive, accountable and high-performing culture
n

What we're looking for

This role requires someone who understands healthcare operations and has experience working in a complex, high-volume environment.

n

We would particularly like to hear from people who have worked within:

n

- Private hospitals or day hospitals
n
- Specialist medical clinics or groups
n
- Multi-site healthcare organisations
n
- Patient accounts or hospital revenue teams
n
- Medical administration or billing operations
n
- Other complex healthcare environments
n

n

You may currently be an Operations Manager, Revenue Services Manager, Patient Accounts Manager, Senior Practice Manager, Regional Practice Manager, Medical Administration Manager or similar.

The position will initially full‐time in the office while you get to know the teams and operation. There may be some flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement longer term once operations are well established.
