Job Description

Our client is a leading international financial institution currently seeking experienced Senior Fund Accountants to join their fund administration department in Sydney on a 12 month temporary contract.

The Senior Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for review and oversight within the fund administration team - supporting the service delivery of the Fund Administration team by verifying and reviewing the work of the Fund Accountants, both in-office and abroad. The Senior Fund Accountant will have direct client contact, ultimately responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of client reports in-line with SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

In the review and verification of reporting in line with the SLA targets, the Senior Fund Accountant focusses especially on the generation of:

- Accounting Reports
n
- Tax Reports
n
- Resolution of client and/or interdepartmental issues.
n

n

This role also entails significant interdepartmental contact, ensuring all functions are operating in an productive and harmonious manner.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

n

n




- Our client is ideally targeting candidates with demonstrated capabilities, circa 4+ years experience in senior roles within the fund accounting function, including proficiency in Unit Pricing, Tax Reporting, Valuation and Accounting, Distributions or Taxable Income Calculations and Tax Returns.

- Tertiary qualifications - ideally related to Accounting, Finance, or Economics and CA/CPA qualifications will be looked upon highly favourably.
n
- Technical accounting ability and knowledge of the broader functions of the client service suite - fund accounting, reporting, operational risk and compliance requirements.
n
- Previous exposure and experience with unit pricing and fund accounting systems, such as Hi-Portfolio, PControl, or Dimension.
n
- Proficiency in MS Suite, namely Word and Excel.
n
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills are a must, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating and solving queries for fellow departments and clients.
