Job Description
About the Position:
n
We're looking for a dedicated and experienced dental receptionist to join our team at About Smiles Chatswood on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, plus one to two Saturday per month.
n
At About Smiles Chatswood, you'll be part of an experienced team with over 25 years of combined clinical experience, delivering high-quality cosmetic and general dentistry. The practice offers a wide range of treatments, including implants, oral surgery and veneers.
n
As one of the first faces our patients see, you'll play an significant role in creating a warm, professional and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, is organised and confident in a busy environment, and takes pride in making patients feel comfortable and well looked after.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and manage appointment scheduling.
n
- Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing information about treatments and addressing patient concerns or complaints.
n
- Billing and Insurance: Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans and verification.
n
- Records Management: Maintain patient records accurately,
ensuring confidentiality and compliance within regulations.
n
- Office Organisation: Keep the reception area tidy and organised, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
n
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication between front and back office.
n

What do you need to succeed:
n
n
- Prior dental receptionist experience is essential
n
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Ability to multitask, priorities tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
n
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
n
- Attention to detail
n
