We are seeking an experienced Senior Practice Mentor to join our Humanitarian Services team on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off FIFO roster from Brisbane.

n

This is an opportunity to use your experience to influence practice, build capability and mentor a dedicated team of Case Managers supporting individuals with complex needs. Rather than carrying a traditional caseload, you will play a critical leadership role in developing professional practice, strengthening service delivery and building the capability of both local and expatriate employees.

About the Role

n

As the Senior Practice Mentor, you will provide professional leadership, coaching and supervision to the Case Management team, ensuring services are delivered safely, ethically and in line with best-practice social work principles.

n

Working closely with operational leaders, you will support continuous improvement, promote high-quality case management and help develop a sustainable, skilled local workforce.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Provide professional leadership and practice guidance to Case Managers supporting clients with complex needs.
n
- Deliver mentoring,



coaching and supervision to enhance capability and professional confidence.
n
- Promote high-quality, person-centred case management and ensure services meet skilled and organisational standards.
n
- Review and evaluate case plans, providing practical guidance to strengthen case outcomes.
n
- Monitor documentation and record keeping to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
n
- Support the development and delivery of training, professional development and reflective practice sessions.
n
- Work collaboratively across ESC to coordinate services and access specialist supports where required.
n
- Foster a positive team culture focused on learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
n
- Contribute to the ongoing development of local employees through coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer.

About You

n

You are an experienced Social Worker who enjoys developing others and improving practice. You are confident providing leadership, mentoring and clinical guidance while maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
n
- Minimum two years' experience as a qualified Social Worker within human services.
n




- Minimum three years' experience leading, supervising or mentoring case management teams.
n
- Demonstrated experience working with clients experiencing complex needs or heightened vulnerability.
n
- Experience supporting asylum seekers, refugees or people from forced migration backgrounds.
n
- Strong understanding of contemporary case management principles, trauma-informed practice and professional ethics.
n
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- A genuine passion for developing people and strengthening professional practice.
n
