This highly regarded national law firm has an established and growing Health Law practice and is looking to further expand its Brisbane team.

The Role

n

An opportunity exists for a Health Lawyer at any level to join the firm's Brisbane team.

n

Working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, you will advise medical defence organisations, health insurers, private hospitals, healthcare organisations and individual practitioners across a diverse range of matters, including:

n

n
- Complex medical negligence and civil litigation;
n
- Coronial inquests;
n
- AHPRA and OHO complaints and investigations;
n
- QCAT disciplinary proceedings; and
n
- Statutory investigations, clinical reviews and Commissions of Inquiry.

The work is varied, compelling and often complex, offering excellent exposure across both contentious and regulatory health matters.

The Ideal Person

n

The team is open to lawyers at all levels and would be interested in hearing from candidates with:

n

n
- Experience in health law, medical indemnity, defendant insurance and/or regulatory work;
n
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
n
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, insurers and healthcare professionals; and
n
- A collaborative and down-to-earth approach.
n
- Lawyers with relevant transferable litigation experience and a genuine interest in developing a specialisation in health law are also encouraged to apply.
