About you

The Clinical Educator in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Managers, provide necessary learning opportunities for staff in designated areas, using a variety of teaching strategies.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs that support the provision of quality nursing care in collaboration with the Education Manager and other relevant personnel
n
- Provide clinical support
n
- Provide education programs that demonstrate the principles of adult learning and reflective practice
n
- Provide Learning packages and Competencies relevant to the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units
n
- Provide Mentorship Program and support for new staff members
n
- Utilises current and appropriate research and Evidence Based Practice when planning education activities
n

What you bring
n
n
- AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
n
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
n
- Relevant post graduate qualifications in relevant area(s) of expertise and/or education are highly desirable.
n
- Demonstrated the ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
n
- Minimum of 5 years' post graduate clinical experience in a critical setting (ICU or CCU) is desired.
n
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
n
