The opportunity

This is a 6-week temporary assignment with an immediate start, suited to an experienced Senior Contract Administrator who knows high-rise construction and can hit the ground running.

You make complex look effortless. You understand commercial construction, you're comfortable dealing with significant subcontract packages, and you know how to keep the commercial side of a project moving.

Better still, while this starts as a short-term assignment, there is potential for a longer-term prospect if that suits you.

Your role

n

You'll step into a senior commercial position on a high-rise project in Scarborough, with a strong focus on procurement, letting packages and commercial management.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Managing and letting subcontract packages valued at $1 million plus
n
- Preparing scopes, tender comparisons and subcontractor recommendations
n
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
n
- Managing procurement and ensuring packages are let in line with programme requirements
n
- Reviewing contracts, variations, claims and commercial documentation
n
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
n
- Maintaining accurate cost reporting and commercial records
n
- Identifying commercial risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery
n

About you

This isn't a step-up opportunity for someone still learning the ropes. You'll need to be able to operate confidently at senior level from the outset.

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

- Proven Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator experience
n
- High-rise construction experience is essential
n
- Demonstrated experience letting and managing subcontract packages valued above $1 million
n
- Strong procurement, tendering and subcontract negotiation capability
n
- Solid understanding of commercial construction contracts, variations and claims
n
- Strong cost management and reporting skills
n
- Confidence dealing directly with subcontractors and project stakeholders
n
- The ability to work autonomously and make commercially sound decisions
n
- Availability to commence immediately
n
