We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sydney.

About the Role

- Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes and ensure timely reporting to headquarters
- Prepare statutory and management financial reports
- Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting documentation

Project Accounting & Cost Allocation

- Monitor project costs and ensure accurate cost allocation to projects and cost centres
- Manage allocation of shared services and overhead costs across multiple projects
- Work closely with project teams to review and analyse cost performance and variances




- Prepare finance-related documentation for tender submissions, prequalification processes and project bids
- Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Treasury & Cash Management

- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and manage banking activities to support operational and project funding requirements
- Coordinate payments, bank transactions and cash management activities
- Liaise with banks regarding banking facilities, guarantees and financial matters
- Manage payment runs and banking transactions
- Maintain internal control framework in line with group standards
- Monitor financial risks and recommend process improvements
- Ensure appropriate cost control procedures across projects

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and are CA/CPA certified or working towards it
- 5 years of finance experience in large, complex organisations, ideally within asset-intensive or regulated environments
- Strong expertise in project accounting, covering capitalisation, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and benefits tracking
- Well-versed in financial reporting standards, accounting policy frameworks, and internal controls
- Proficient in SAP systems (S4HANA, EPPM, CATS) and financial modelling tools, with the ability to produce clear, compliant reports and audit documentation
- Collaborative, outcome-focused qualified with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, high integrity, and a drive for continuous improvement
