Community Wheels Inc is a not-for-profit organisation offering affordable and accessible transport services to seniors and people with disabilities in the Parramatta and Cumberland regions.
n We are passionate about promoting independence, inclusion, and community connection through safe and reliable transport.

We are seeking caring, reliable Casual Drivers to join our team!
n You'll be responsible for safely transporting our valued clients to appointments, shopping, social activities, and more - helping them maintain their independence and social connections.

n

The role may involve driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles and offering assistance to passengers when required.

n

Key duties include:

n

n
- Safe operation of vehicles, following road rules and Community Wheels policies
n
- Providing excellent customer service to all clients
n
- Assisting passengers in and out of vehicles (including use of mobility aids)
n
- Completing pre-departure and post-departure vehicle checks
n
- Recording trip details and reporting any incidents
n
- Communicating professionally with clients, carers, and staff
n

About You

n

We are looking for people who are caring, professional, and reliable, with a real commitment to supporting community members.

n

You will have:

n

n
- Current NSW LR-Class Driver Licence (or higher)
n




- Full Covid-19 and Flu vaccination records
n
- A safe driving record (driving history check may be requested)
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
n
- Physical ability to assist passengers with mobility needs
n
- Commitment to client dignity, safety, and confidentiality
n

n

You will also need to obtain (or already hold):

n

n
- Police Check
n
- Bus Driver Authority
n
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
n

n

Desirable but not essential:

n

n
- Experience driving accessible vehicles or buses
n
- Experience working with elderly people, people with disabilities, or culturally diverse communities
n
- Awareness of the Parramatta and Cumberland localities.
n
- Ability to speak another language
n

Employment Conditions:
