About the Role
n
This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will learn all aspects of metal fabrication and workshop manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining practical skills in fabrication, welding, assembly, and workshop operations.

You will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of specialised equine equipment, with opportunities to grow your skills in a supportive and high-quality engineering setting.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of steel components
n
- Learn and develop welding skills (MIG/TIG and general fabrication techniques)
n
- Read and interpret basic technical drawings and job instructions
n
- Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and correctly
n
- Support general workshop duties, including cleaning, preparation, and maintenance
n
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication and engineering team
n
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
n

About You

- Keen, reliable, and eager to learn a trade

- Interested in mechanical work, fabrication, and engineering

- Hands-on and practically minded

- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Punctual with a strong work ethic

- Physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop environment
n
- Applicants must have access to reliable transport to and from work, or appropriate arrangements in place to ensure punctual attendance.
n
- Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical if required
n
- No previous experience is required, however any exposure to metalwork, welding, or trade environments will be highly regarded.
