Job Description
At Fitness Passport, we are driven by a clear purpose — to make fitness more accessible, so more people can lead active and healthier lives. Established in 2006, we're a corporate health and fitness program partnering with the public sector, corporate employers, and leading fitness facilities across Australia and Current Zealand, providing members with access to a wide range of gyms and wellness resources.
n
As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, Fitness Passport is executing an ambitious strategy while keeping our member experience a top priority.
n
The Role:
n
We're looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to help strengthen our security posture and bring our cybersecurity roadmap to life.
n
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll work across security operations, risk, and compliance, applying the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover) to lift maturity across our people, processes, and technology — working alongside our IT Operations, Technology and trusted external partners.
n
If you want a career in cybersecurity where you'll get real exposure across the full spectrum — not just one narrow slice — and you like the idea of helping shape a security function as it matures, this is for you.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- Supporting delivery of the cybersecurity roadmap — tracking milestones, reporting progress, and keeping policies and documentation current.
n
- Maintaining the risk register and asset inventory, running third-party/vendor risk assessments, and supporting ISO 27001 readiness work.
n
- Managing security tooling — EDR, SIEM, vulnerability scanning — and partnering with IT Operations on patching and secure configuration.
n
- Monitoring alerts and telemetry to spot anomalies early, and tuning detection tools to cut noise and sharpen signal.
n
- Investigating and responding to incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners (MSSP, vCISO), and running post-incident reviews.
n
- Supporting recovery efforts after incidents and feeding lessons learned back into the roadmap.
n
- Delivering security awareness training and championing secure-by-design thinking across projects.
n
n
About You:
n
n
- 2–4 years' experience in a dedicated cybersecurity, security operations, or security analyst role.
n
- Hands-on experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
n
- Working knowledge of EDR, SIEM, and related security tooling, plus an understanding of IAM, MDM, and endpoint compliance.
n
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) from a security perspective.
n
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to risk, with the communication skills to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
n
- A degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
n
- A builder's mindset — you'd rather stand up the right process or control than wait for someone to hand you a playbook.
n
- A genuine self-starter who takes ownership of roadmap items and drives them forward independently, without needing close supervision.
n
- Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by the challenge of shaping a security function from the ground up, not just maintaining an established one.
n
n
What You'll Love:
n
We're proud of our culture, and even prouder of the people who make it what it is.
n
At Fitness Passport, we're not just about providing access to great gyms and wellness facilities — we've also created a fantastic place to work. Our company values of Collaboration, Growth, Respect, Integrity and Wellbeing define our culture and the principles we use to operate our business.
n

n
Here's what's waiting for you:

n

n
Absolute busy body of a manager
