RolePurpose

n

Thisisasenior,hands-on-the-designroleowningthedataarchitectureacrosstwoconnectedstreams:thetargetanalyticsarchitectureinMicrosoftFabric,andthemigrationarchitecturemovingdataoutofAppian-basedSQLsourcesystemsintoMicrosoftDataverse.You'llactasthedesignauthority,settingthestandards,principlesandpatterns,thenguidingengineers,analysts,testersandbusinessstakeholderstodeliveragainstthem.Theremitisdeliberatelybroad,becausetheclientwantsanalyticsandmigrationtreatedasonecoherententerprisedataapproachratherthantwoseparatetechnicalexercises.

- Establishdataarchitectureprinciples,standards,patterns,namingconventionsandmodellingapproaches

- DesigntheFabricanalyticsarchitecture,OneLakestructure,lakehouseandwarehousepatterns,medallionlayers,curateddataproductsandsemanticmodelalignment
n
- LeadthemigrationarchitecturefromAppian-basedSQLsourcesintoDataverse,coveringstaging,profiling,mapping,transformation,loadsequencing,cutoverandrollback

- Overseersource-to-targetmapping,datacleansing,lookupresolution,alternatekeystrategyandownershipmapping
n
- ActasdesignauthorityandprovidecleararchitecturaldirectiontoDataEngineers,DataMigrationEngineers,SeniorDataAnalystsandSolutionArchitects
n
- Reviewandassuredatamodels,transformationlogic,reconciliationcontrolsandreportingdatasources
n
- SupportAgiledeliverythroughbacklogrefinement,designwalkthroughs,architecturereviewsandreleasereadiness
